Disability Support Workers - Armstrong Creek
About the Role:
Join us as a Disability Support Worker in a new Supported Independent Living location in Armstrong Creek. You’ll be providing essential 1:2 support to two male participants who are transitioning to living independently. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your well-developed life skills and experience in epilepsy management and medication assistance to empower these young men as they learn household tasks like cooking, cleaning, and more.
Who We’re Looking For:
We’re searching for team members who are supportive, encouraging, and skilled at multi-tasking and problem-solving. A passion for teaching life skills and helping clients achieve greater independence is essential, along with an ability to connect with participants around their hobbies and interests.
Your Skills and Experience:
* Proficiency in epilepsy management and medication assistance
* Excellent multi-tasking, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
* Strong ability to mentor and guide participants in life skills like cooking, cleaning, and budgeting
* Positive and proactive approach with a passion for empowering clients
Set Rosters:
We have 6 Available Positions on PPT or CAS basis, these rosters are set & must be completed in full - rosters are as follows:
PPT 3
48 hours per fortnight
Week 1
* Monday 1500 PM to 2000 PM – 5 hrs
* Wednesday 1500 PM to 2000 PM – 5 hrs
* Thursday 1500 PM to 2000 PM – 5 hrs
* Friday 1500 PM to 9:00 AM (sleepover 2200 PM to 6:00 AM) – 10 hrs
* Sunday 1500 PM to 9:00 AM (sleepover 2200 PM to 6:00 AM) – 10 hrs
Week 2
* Wednesday 1500 PM to 9:00 AM (sleepover 2200 PM to 6:00 AM) – 10 hrs
* Friday 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM – 3 hrs
PPT 4
50 hours per fortnight
Week 1
* Monday 1500 PM to 9:00 AM (sleepover 2200 PM to 6:00 AM) – 10 hrs
* Wednesday 1500 PM to 9:00 AM (sleepover 2200 PM to 6:00 AM) – 10 hrs
* Saturday 1500 PM to 9:00 AM (sleepover 2200 PM to 6:00 AM) – 10 hrs
Week 2
* Tuesday 1300 PM to 1800 PM – 5 hours
* Wednesday 1500 PM to 2000 PM – 5 hrs
* Thursday 1500 PM to 9:00 AM (sleepover 2200 PM to 6:00 AM) – 10 hrs
PPT 5
18 hours per fortnight

* Saturday 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM – 3 hrs
* Sunday 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM – 3 hrs
Week 2
* Tuesday 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM – 3 hrs
* Thursday 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM – 3 hrs
