Role
This is a fixed-term position until 30/06/2026.
The purpose of this role is to provide high quality finance and administrative support to the Budget and Finance Team within the Victorian School Building Authority. The Finance Officer is responsible for processing of payments into Oracle, journal preparation, other ad-hoc financial support tasks, as well as provision of quality customer service through attention to detail and timely response to queries.
The key accountabilities for the Finance Officer are to:
• facilitate financial data entry into Oracle and information management
• Maintenance of accurate data, records, databases and information management systems
• Proven ability to work independently to ensure accurate processing of invoices and preparation of accrual journals to capture incurred costs.
• Perform ad hoc financial reconciliation tasks.
• Update Authority variance reports
• Ensure financial activities are compliant with Department's financial policies, procedures and activities.
• Ensure financial activities are compliant with legislative requirements.
• Answer payment inquiries from external suppliers.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience
1. Essential : Sufficient relevant experience in Finance/Accounting (Accounts Payable) field
