About the role The Koorie Men's Diversion Case Manager will play an integral role in diverting Aboriginal men from further involvement with the criminal justice system, by delivering and coordinating intensive case management for a caseload of up to 8 Aboriginal men. This role involves delivering individualized case management, coordinating culturally sensitive treatment, and advocating for clients. The Case Manager establishes collaborative networks to create effective referral pathways, working towards improved justice outcomes by liaising with justice agencies and supporting Aboriginal men in contact with the criminal justice system. About You Demonstrated understanding of the underlying issues that contribute to Aboriginal men's contact with the justice system. Sound understanding of the Justice System as well as relevant risk assessment frameworks, service responses and interventions in working with vulnerable families. Demonstrated case management experience, including coordinating, and delivering effective advice, support, and services to Aboriginal families, specifically Aboriginal men. Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and liaising with Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal organisations to achieve project objectives and goals. Diploma in Community Services. Requirements: Current COVID-19 vaccination (including booster dose, as applicable), a Working with Children's Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence.
