What you’ll be doing in this role
As a Carer for Hotel services support, you’ll provide quality, timely and effective hotel services such as catering, cleaning, and laundry to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life. Uniting seeks Care Workers - Hotel Services for kitchen support duties to work at Uniting Caroona in Goonellabah part time basis.

Your care work may include:
o Providing support with household activities such as catering, cleaning and laundry making their dignity and independence a top priority
o Paying attention to personal safety and risk management for you and our residents by using appropriate manual handling techniques and food safety
o Supporting residents in community-based recreational and social activities.
Who we’re looking for
o Ideally, you’ll have a Certificate II in Hospitality or an equivalent qualification. If you’re not currently qualified and would like to be, then we can help you get there.
o You’ll have previous experience in similar position (catering / kitchenhand, cleaning or laundry services) or any other community care
o You’ll be adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
