Job Description
Based at our Cardiff facility located in Newcastle NSW, our Internal Sales Associate will act as the key point of contact for those clients who make contact via phone or email and are also non account clients and provide both pre and after-sales advice. Liaise regularly with other members of the sales team and colleagues from a range of departments, such as engineering, purchasing, production and quality, as well as senior company managers.
In addition, the successful candidate will help ensure that company operating and cost efficiencies are obtained, quality and safety standards are achieved, and customer delivery deadlines are met.
In this role, you will:
* Assist with all phone and e-mail enquiries from both Non Account and Account Customers who might benefit from company products or services
* Investigate all phone and e-mail enquiries for future potential and pass this information on to their respective manager for action
* Assisting Customers with a product or service that best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery
* Developing long-term relationships with Customers through managing and interpreting their requirements
* Provide quotations and information as requested by phone or e-mailed requests
* Calculating Customer quotations and administering Customer accounts
* Providing some technical assistance if possible and product information as requested by customer and sales engineer, to support after-sales services activities
* Preparing reports as requested
* Providing support material for other members of the sales team
* Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
* Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts
* Follow up customer enquiries and orders where required
Qualifications
* Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in similar role
* Mechanical Trade Certificate – or equivalent
* Engineering/Production or Service knowledge is highly regarded
* Proficient PC Skills
* Prior experience in multinationals, manufacturing and sales organisations
* The successful candidate needs excellent communication skills at all levels of the organisation, strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, ability to think on their feet and operate autonomously
