About the role
As the Operations Manager (Product) you will oversee the Fresh Market, Fruit & Veg, Ambient, and Replenishment departments, ensuring that the freshest products are consistently available to customers while adhering to all food safety and safety protocols. Additionally, this position acts as the lead for the CFC in the absence of the CFC Manager. As a part of creating a safe working environment, all candidates for this role can expect to undergo a pre-employment medical check as part of the recruitment process.
What you'll do
* Manage the Fresh Market, Fruit & Veg, Ambient, and Replenishment departments.
* Ensure strong adherence to inventory routines, achieving complete orders, minimising Out of Stocks (OOS), and maintaining inventory health.
* Oversee compliance with all food safety processes, including fresh prep areas, department food safety documentation, and date codes.
* Work with the eCom team to identify and capitalise on opportunities, ensuring complete orders and the freshest quality every time.
* Drive growth and improvement by collaborating with the broader business and peers within CFCs.
* Coach and develop on-site talent to build a strong future talent pipeline and support team members in reaching their career goals.
* Help bring to life a diverse and inclusive culture across all our sites, in a way that is meaningful to our team. By giving them a voice, to tell us what is important to them and how best we can celebrate the many cultures within our teams.
What you'll bring
* Demonstrated experience in retail leadership roles
* Proven ability to coach and develop team members
* Experience in leading and implementing change initiatives
* Understanding of online order fulfilment processes and systems
* Knowledgeable in inventory management, production, and replenishment practices
* Experienced in leading and developing diverse teams
* Strong written and verbal communication abilities
* Effective time management, planning, and organisational tasks
* Experience in team member development and engagement
* Experience in using computer, digital tools and resources
