Job Description
The Commercial Business Partner - Reporting and Grants will support the Financial Planning, Analysis and Reporting Manager in coordinating and aligning business planning and budget processes.
* Assist in developing and coordinating the annual budgeting and forecasting process with department heads and senior management.
* Support the manager during the budget process, providing advice and assistance on setting budget/forecast cycles.
* Prepare financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate the financial feasibility of projects and investments.
* Monthly monitoring, analysis, and reporting.
* Track, review, and report monthly financial performance of all grants to ensure alignment with approved budgets/forecasts and highlight areas for improvement.
* Perform monthly reconciliation of all grants at account level, ensuring discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly.
* Interpret financial data and communicate findings effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
The role also involves:
* Ensuring timely completion of financial reports required by Government Agencies associated with contracts for service delivery.
* Preparing regular reports on the status of the budget/forecast for the Board and Senior Management.
* Forecasting and cash flow management.
* Strategic Planning and Decision Support.
* Partnering with stakeholders to develop and review business cases for new grant/tender proposals.
* Continual improvement and change management.
* Reviewing and improving planning, budgeting, and reporting processes and systems to support best practice.
* Coordinating with stakeholders in the management of all grants received.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* A CA/CPA qualification or be studying towards one.
* Demonstrated experience in business and financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting in a multi-faceted business organisation.
* Excellent analytical skills, particularly in interpreting, analysing, and reporting financial data.
* Leadership skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
* Proven experience in translating complex data into clear and accurate analytical reports.
* Developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build meaningful relationships with stakeholders.
* Experience and understanding of government policies and processes, particularly in relation to funding submission applications.
What's On Offer
This part-time 0.6 FTE role is located in the Northern Suburbs, offering flexible working arrangements.
The ideal candidate will be available to work online between Monday-Wednesday.
The salary is circa $115k + super (0.6 FTE).
