The Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Presales team will play a pivotal role in supporting the technical and functional aspects of the sales process. This role involves collaborating with various internal teams and external partners to deliver comprehensive solutions that meet customer needs and drive business growth.
You will be responsible for delivering solution demonstrations, opportunity qualification, business analysis, requirements gathering and technical conversations with new and existing customers. These activities will result in new contracts, projects and change orders with clients. As a result, the revenue generated will contribute to Company's financial goals and objectives.
You will be working closely with a team of motivated professionals dedicated to delivering excellence and making a difference. Head Office is located in central Sydney with local team members attending in person at least 2 days per week and some team members working remotely in other states or around the world.

Your ProfileKey Tasks / DutiesProducts / Solutions : Develop deep expertise in the company's products and solutions.Stay updated with the latest product developments and industry trends.Provide technical and functional guidance to the sales team and customers.Collaborate with Business Development Managers (BDMs) during the discovery phase to understand customer requirements.Conduct solution demonstrations and technical presentations to showcase the value of Esker solutions.Prepare budget estimates in line with internal business processes.Assist in the preparation of proposals and respond to technical queries from customers.Respond to security questionnaires as needed.Complete effective handovers to internal teams.Partners : Work closely with Partner Managers to support sales and presales activities led by partners.Provide technical training and support to partners to enhance their capabilities.Participate in joint sales calls and presentations with partners.Participate in Partners' marketing events.Customer Experience (CX) : Collaborate with the CX team to deliver webinars, one-on-one presentations, and demos to existing customers.Generate awareness and interest in new features and solutions to drive upselling and cross-selling opportunities.Gather customer feedback to inform product development and improvement.Marketing : Partner with the Marketing team to plan and execute activities such as webinars, conferences, and tradeshows.Represent the company at industry events to increase brand visibility and generate new leads.Create and deliver compelling content to support marketing campaigns.Administration : Capture and update PreSales Requests (PSR) into the CRM.Log adequate notes and record time spent against tasks in the CRM.Record and maintain details from sales discovery conversations in One Note.Comply with all company policies and procedures.Escalate any critical issues to line manager or account manager.QualificationsProven experience in a presales or technical sales role.Strong understanding of the company's products and solutions.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Customer-focused with a passion for delivering exceptional service.Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership.Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Technical proficiency and the ability to quickly learn new technologies.5+ years – hands-on experience in software package implementations or systems configurations (either in a software company, system integrator or in house).5+ years - experience required in defining and developing functional requirements and specifications.3+ years - experience with Process automation solutions, preferably in the Accounting space.Educational RequirementsDegree level, or equivalent experience.What We Offer - #PositivelyFulfilledAn international environment.An agile organisation.Flexible work options including hybrid working.Opportunities for travel.Monthly wellbeing allowance.Commitment to professional development.One dedicated day per year for CSR activities.Active social committee and team events.Esker is an equal opportunity employer that celebrates diversity and is committed to maintaining an inclusive and mutually respectful work environment.
