Aspect Personnel are currently working with a local council to recruit either a MBS or Deputy MBS for an initial 2-3 month contract role. 5 days a week is preferred however, 3-4 days can be considered for the right candidate. Hybrid working is available. Employed as an MBS or Deputy MBS you will be responsible for: Leading, mentoring and supporting of a team of surveyors inspectors and support staff Coordinating & overseeing the provision of Buildings Surveying services Ensure the maintenance of building records Providing specialist building advice to members of staff and the public and external stakeholders Overseeing enforcement and report & consent As the ideal candidate you will have/be: A Registered Building Surveyor (Unlimited) A tertiary qualification in building surveying/management, or relevant experience/qualifications Previous experience supervising staff, developing policies and financial management Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor staff A solid understanding of relevant acts, regulations and standards Excellent time management and negotiation skills A current driver's license If you would like to discuss this role in more detail or other Surveying opportunities within Local Government, please contact Michael Parker on 0431 593 048 or send an email to m.parkeraspectpersonnel.com.au Alternatively you can apply by using the link below.
