Make an impact at Serco As a Senior Psychologist/Social Worker at Acacia Prison, you will provide clinical supervision and guidance to a dedicated team of Psychologists, Social Workers, and a Drug Strategy Coordinator. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality mental health services, focusing on suicide and self-harm risk assessment and crisis intervention. This full-time, permanent role requires a commitment to maintaining a supportive and inclusive environment for both staff and prisoners. As a Senior Psychologist/Social Worker in the Psychological Health Services team, you’ll make a positive impact by: Providing clinical supervision to a multidisciplinary team. Assisting in the development and delivery of strategic plans and operational objectives. Monitoring and reporting on team performance against key performance indicators. Delivering psychological consultation and support to staff across the site. Developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Contributing to policy development and implementation. Advanced knowledge in the assessment and management of suicide and self-harm risk. Strong leadership and management skills, with a focus on strategic planning and team development. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Understanding of the issues identified by the Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody.
