Nurses & Midwives Enterprise Agreement ( classification is dependent upon qualification and experience)
We have casual employment opportunities for experienced Registered Nurses (RN) or Endorsed Enrolled Nurses (EEN) to join our fast-paced Day Surgery Unit. Our Perioperative Services Department caters to a broad range of surgical specialities including Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, General Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Ophthalmology and Paediatric Surgery.
Casuals are employed on an ‘as needs’ basis to backfill leave and extra shifts on days, nights and weekends (0700 - 1530, 1000 - 1830 or 1200 - 2030). Casual positions do not include regular hours.
As a casual employee you will be expected to complete all mandatory competencies and an annual performance appraisal.
Our preferred candidates will have:
* Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* As an EEN:
o Hold a NMBA approved qualification in administration of medicines
o Hold a NMBA approved qualification in intravenous medication administration
* Recent surgical or perioperative experience within a busy elective surgery environment
* Outstanding organisational and daily management skills
* Ability to work under pressure, handling multiple tasks simultaneously
* A commitment to a team approach to care delivery
IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) may be required prior to commencement.

All employees must hold current entitlement to work within Australia. A six month probationary period applies to all new appointments.
