The team is responsible for deploying advanced data analytics techniques on high volume, unstructured data sources whilst developing intelligent data models that automate complex calculations and provide insights on key risk factors to a client’s business operations, particularly in the areas of payroll recalculation and taxation.Additionally, you will work closely with other GT service lines in our firm, providing support for complex analytics and dashboards on emerging market issues to deliver optimum outcomes for Grant Thornton’s clients.Your responsibilitiesProducing the engagement outcomes for clients with involvement across a broad range of activities including:Transform payroll data and prepare payroll recalculation workflows, ensuring a critical review of resultsSupport the creation of payroll assurance tools and applicationsWork with clients on data requirements, data transformation and the interpretation of payroll recalculation outcomesSupport the ideation of tax digital transformation opportunities and assist in the development of automation, analytics and AI-based solutions in taxation using leading technology.Skills & experienceProven track record, working in a professional service firm or large corporate environment, with a focus on data transformation, manipulation and cleansing payroll data, recalculation workflows or tax technology advisoryStrong client focus with the ability to work on multiple engagements, whilst providing reliable advice, guidance and insights that are easily understoodRequires moderate to high previous experience working in Alteryx, Python, Power BI, and / or Artificial IntelligenceUniversity degree (preferred Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Accounting or Maths)If you’re interested in this role but don’t feel that you match every single one of our requirements, we would still love to hear from you and explore the unique skillset and attributes that you can bring to the team.At Grant Thornton we do things differently because we understand that when you strive for better and care about what you do remarkable things are possible.
