Solicitor – Family and Civil/Commercial Litigation | Inverness (main office) with flexibility to work from any of the company’s offices | Full Time, Standard office hours are 9:00-17:00, Monday to Friday, with options for hybrid or remote working | £40,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience)
Our client is seeking a qualified Solicitor with experience in Family and/or Civil & Commercial Litigation with additional knowledge in Employment Law.
To thrive in this role, you will be proactive, organised, and have excellent attention to detail. As an adaptable communicator, you will build rapport effectively with both clients and colleagues. Your friendly, approachable demeanour and ambition to drive the department forward are essential.
Familiarity with handling both paper and electronic files is required.
Are you the right person for the job?
1. Experience in Family and/or Civil & Commercial Litigation
2. Knowledge of Employment Law (advantageous but not essential)
3. Strong research, written, and oral communication skills
4. Proactive and able to prioritise competing responsibilities effectively
5. Enthusiastic, eager to learn, and a collaborative team player
What will your role look like?
Your role will include managing your own varied caseload, working primarily on Sheriff Court and Court of Session cases in the Highlands and Islands. You will be a part of a collaborative team of fee-earners at varying experience levels, as well as legal support staff. Partnership is a real possibility and may come swiftly, depending on your experience.
Responsibilities include:
1. Focus on Family and Civil/Commercial Litigation
2. Undertake a varied caseload
3. Work alongside experienced colleagues from junior to senior levels
4. Contribute to a supportive and proactive team environment
