With our award-winning claims service, we ensure that vehicles and the goods they carry are covered comprehensively, powering the progress of businesses.As our Claims Team Leader: you are a coach, mentor, and inspiring leader to your team, stickler for best practice compliance and process standards to deliver a first-class customer experience.Responsibilities:Lead and coach team members by developing capability and learning opportunities, monitor and balance performance priorities and encourage a collaborative and engaging team environment.Oversee, plan, and support the day-to-day operations of the team as well as providing support to the National Claims Manager and State Manager as needed.Manage stakeholder relationships including sales, underwriters, and brokers through the claims process, addressing concerns, escalations, and resolving issues to enhance customer experience.Critical decision-making regarding claims settlements, approvals, and denials based on policy terms, regulations, and company guidelines.Reporting and analysis of team performance, claims data, identify trends and make strategic decisions.Ensure adherence to industry regulations, legal requirements, and company policies.Participate in visits with customers, key stakeholders, broking partners, and clients.Keep up to date with industry best practices by participating in business-related industry forums and working groups.Skills & Experience:Experience in the insurance claims industry with in-depth knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, insurance laws, and regulations are essential.ANZIIF qualification and/or tertiary qualification in business.Hands-on leadership, coaching, and mentoring to drive high performance.Stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills with a focus on building strategic relationships.Customer-focused mindset and the ability to handle customer complaints, escalations, and problem-solving.Reporting and analysis to drive team performance, identify trends, and support strategic decisions.Our people enjoy being part of an organisation that respects and values their contributions and working alongside others who pride themselves on outstanding customer service.We provide our people opportunities to grow and learn new skills, work collaboratively across different areas, and contribute to and share in collective success.
