The Role An established and highly regarded family-owned Angus operation that has been experiencing significant growth since 2019 oversees a vast expanse of 32,000 hectares spread across three expansive properties located between Lake King and Esperance.Actively engaged in Broadacre and Angus programs, they are guided by the principle of 'Sustainability Equals Performance' and are currently in search of a skilled Assistant Manager with a focus on stock management for their finishing property near Condingup, WA.The farm spans 2,000 hectares and is dedicated to the finishing of progeny sourced from their nearby breeding properties, which boast cutting-edge programs, including a highly successful embryo transfer regime.Notably, the cattle are exclusively grass-fed, underscoring the critical importance of pasture knowledge and management for your sustained success.The overarching objective of this farm is to introduce approximately 3,000 head into the market annually, with regular monthly turnovers to contracted markets.The role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, including stock induction, management, data collection, pasture management, infrastructure maintenance and repair, as well as staff management.Your successful execution of these tasks will necessitate strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills, along with proficient low-stress handling abilities.It's important to note that all stock movements are conducted using buggies, with no reliance on dogs or horses across any of the farms.As the chosen candidate, you will have the opportunity to become part of a dynamic, forward-thinking, and supportive workplace that actively pursues ongoing improvement while fostering the personal and professional development of all staff members.The Offer Comfortably accommodated in a near-new two-bedroom home on the property, you would also negotiate a quality salary package.Set in a beautiful location, you would be within ten minutes of the Condingup pub and forty minutes of Esperance.Condingup boasts a primary school, along with basic necessities.The area provides picturesque access to the Southern Ocean and large spans of coastline to explore.The Ideal Candidate The candidate, our clients, are in search of will be a passionate stockperson who also has a strong interest in pasture improvement and grazing management.You will have a desire to assist in leading a close-knit team while still having a thirst for learning and the following attributes: Quality low-stress stock handling skills.Ability to safely operate general farm machinery.Mechanical aptitude and fabrication skills for general maintenance and repair.Digital literacy and an interest in modern farming technology.Data handling skills.Experience with AgriWebb or similar programs.Team-centred ethos.
