Your Opportunity: To provide independent, advanced speech pathology clinical services and high-level operational management of the Speech Pathology Department, across Maryborough Hospital and Hervey Bay Hospital. To professionally lead speech pathology services within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (South) and provide high level strategic direction, leadership and advocacy within multiple speciality areas, services and multidisciplinary teams across the Hospital and Health Service. What we're looking for: Demonstrated high level, advanced knowledge, expertise and skills in contemporary clinical practice standards in Speech Pathology, across a variety of clinical areas & caseloads. Excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to facilitate groups of people with differing perspectives. Experience and proven success in management positions within a similar service. Proven ability to establish effective relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders and foster productive partnerships. Demonstrated capacity and commitment to service improvement and development, and evidence-based practice. Demonstrated ability and experience with the implementation of change initiatives led by organisation wide change, including cultural, organisational and work practise changes. Experience of working and managing a team within a multidisciplinary health environment, development of clinical practice guidelines, policies and procedures. Preferred Qualifications: Mandatory possession of a qualification as a Speech Pathologist from a registered tertiary institution (or equivalent) and a current membership or eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia. Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties. Why join us? You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $172,615 p.a., comprising salary between $144,991 - $151,289 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP5) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f.)
