About Your New Role Under the direction of the Manager Open Space Maintenance, this role oversees the City's horticultural maintenance service contracts and panel arrangements to ensure they are well co-ordinated and appropriately managed. This rare permanent opportunity will lead the development of contract specifications and provides specialist strategic advice for procurement planning and our City's contract renewals while ensuring Council maintains its duty of care at all stages of the procurement process.
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Management Officer to oversee the development of detailed specifications and principal's requirements, including KPIs, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. Responsibilities will include managing market sounding, strategy development in partnership with procurement, and tender evaluation, with a focus on WH&S systems and risk assessments.
This varied role involves contract administration, contractor performance evaluation, incident investigations, and the development of Contract Management Plans, along with ensuring compliance with procurement policies, WHS standards, and effective project handovers.
We're Looking For People Who Have Experience in a contracts management or procurement-based role ideally in a government setting or the ability to demonstrate their transferable skills into this role.
You will ideally hold a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety & a Diploma of Contract Management or have the equivalent knowledge and experience. A Certificate III in Horticulture would also be highly regarded.
