About the role
Working as an integral part of the Corporate Communications and Government Relations team you will increase exposure and enhance the reputation of Federation University Australia and Federation TAFE through coordinated internal and external communication activities.
You will:
1. coordinate proactive media opportunities including writing media releases, media plans, media talking points and creating interesting and engaging media opportunities;
2. provide advice on internal and media communications;
3. create and distribute engaging internal communications to staff across a range of delivery platforms; and
4. contribute collaboratively to a media and communications calendar to ensure the coordinated promotion of campaigns
About you
The Corporate Communications Advisor works under the direction of the Corporate Communications Manager and is required to interact with all institutes, directorates and a broad range of staff and other stakeholders within the University community.
You will possess:
5. media and communications experience which includes writing and editing media releases, news stories, EDMs, corporate documents and digital content;
6. communication and presentation skills with some experience in social media, photography, and video production;
7. experience in dealing with proactive and reactive media; and
8. organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
