Job Description The WHS Manager is key to developing, leading, and planning strategies to improve safety performance. The role ensures proactive management of workplace health and safety management systems, ensuring effective risk management, legislative compliance and the development of a safety culture for all internal and external staff.This role is also responsible for developing and managing the OHS Management System (ISO 45001), ensuring that it is utilised effectively across all service lines and annual audit requirements are met in full.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting, Systems & Insights Provide WHS reports to management on regular basis including information on incidents, hazards, injuries and time loss.Manage the reporting and investigation of incidents and implement WHS systems to mitigate risk, and effectively support a reduction of workplace injuries.Strategy Develop and lead the planning and associated strategies to improve safety performance in collaboration with managers and employees.Displaying and promoting safety and wellbeing practices through active field based leadership and engagement.Familiarise and work in accordance with WHS and QMS systems, policies and procedures.Leadership Providing strategic direction, support and leadership to support senior leaders in the achievement of safety and Wellbeing objectives and goals. Coaching senior leaders in their safety behaviours and ways of working to drive safe operations, embed HCA Safety and Wellbeing processes and programs and drive a culture of critical control management owned by leaders.Qualifications Possess expertise in management systems and auditing, foster a strong safety culture, and lead initiatives to improve safe operations, while also bringing desirable skills in project management, influencing, negotiation, and problem-solving.Qualifications Relevant qualifications in WHS management and/or related areas Experience in WorkCover and WHS matters with associated training Experience Experience working in a WHS/QA manager role (preferably in a multisite environment).Experience in a health environment preferred Minimum 10 years' experience working in Health, Safety and Wellbeing Proven experience in preparation and implementation of Safety and Wellbeing Management Proven experience managing early intervention, injury management and rehabilitation outcomes Additional Information Our Culture: We are a team working together, we never forget that we're people focused.We respect human relationships and aim to make a big difference in people's lives across the country.
