execution.Position Summary: The Group Operations Manager (GOM) plays a critical leadership role within Anmar Group, responsible for overseeing and optimising operations across logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, and training.This position requires a strategic, visionary leader who can work closely with the COO to drive operational excellence while mentoring and supporting The Operations Team at implement forward-thinking solutions that align with the group's overall vision.Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Serve as a strategic advisor to the COO, providing insights and recommendations on operational efficiencies, growth opportunities, and long-term process improvements.Drive the vision and strategy for group-wide operations, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives and future growth plans.Develop and lead initiatives to improve operational performance across all departments, including logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, and training.Operational Oversight: Oversee logistics and warehouse operations across Marbut and Clayton's plants, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with company goals.Ensure the successful implementation of lean manufacturing principles to drive production efficiencies and reduce waste across all manufacturing processes.Collaborate with Line Managers to ensure operational strategies are executed effectively and that performance targets are consistently met.Team Development and Mentorship: Mentor and provide strategic guidance to Line Managers at both Marbut and Clayton's, preparing them for future leadership roles while fostering their autonomy in day-to-day operations.Lead the development and execution of group-wide training programs in collaboration with the Manufacturing Trainer to ensure the workforce is skilled, adaptable, and aligned with company goals.Promote a culture of continuous improvement and encourage teams to actively participate in operational excellence initiatives.Process Improvement and Standardisation: Identify and implement best practices across logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, and training, ensuring standardisation and consistency across both plants.Drive process improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and increase output across all departments.Collaborate with Line Managers and department heads to continuously refine and optimise operational processes to meet evolving business needs.KPI Tracking and Accountability: Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) across all operational areas, holding All Managers and department heads accountable for meeting performance targets.Implement a data-driven approach to track operational performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive corrective actions.Provide regular reports to the COO on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.Safety and Compliance: Implement and enforce Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies across all departments, ensuring 100% compliance with industry standards and regulations.Oversee the development and execution of safety training programs to ensure all employees are educated on safe work practices.Monitor and reduce the number of near misses and workplace injuries by proactively identifying potential hazards and implementing preventive measures.Ensure that regular safety audits are conducted at both Marbut and Clayton's plants, and corrective actions are implemented immediately for any identified risks.Downtime Management: Monitor and minimise plant downtime, ensuring that equipment and systems are running efficiently to meet production targets.Collaborate with the maintenance team to implement preventive maintenance programs and reduce the frequency and duration of equipment failures.Analyse the root causes of downtime and work with cross-functional teams to resolve systemic issues that lead to operational delays.Incident Reporting and Management: Ensure that all incidents, including injuries, near misses, and equipment failures, are reported, investigated, and documented promptly.Lead root cause analysis sessions for critical incidents and oversee the implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Report key safety and downtime metrics to the COO, providing insights into trends, risks, and ongoing improvement efforts.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster a collaborative working environment across departments, ensuring logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, and training teams are aligned and working towards common goals.Serve as a liaison between the COO and Line Managers, ensuring smooth communication and execution of group-wide strategic initiatives.Lead cross-departmental projects and initiatives that drive operational improvements and enhance the overall efficiency of the group.Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.MBA or similar advanced degree preferred.Minimum 10+ years of experience in operations management, with a proven track record in strategic leadership and process improvement.Experience in logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, and lean manufacturing principles is essential.Demonstrated experience in leading large, cross-functional teams and overseeing multiple operational departments.Strong ability to mentor and develop leadership talent, with a track record of supporting the growth of direct reports.Proven ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives and standardise processes across diverse teams and locations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to challenge the status quo and drive change
