• Review and assess applications for financial assistance products to ensure departmental guidelines are fairly and correctly applied.
• Prepare executive briefings and correspondence in relation to home lending as required by senior management.
• Prepare reports and statistical data on home lending activities to assist senior management with planning and reporting obligations.
• Conduct staff training to ensure adherence to department lending guidelines and statutory obligations.
• Conduct community engagement to ensure dissemination of current information on the financial assistance products provided by the department.
• Oversee the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures to ensure uniform practices and to meet statutory obligations.
• Advise management on matters relating to the efficient and effective delivery of financial assistance.
• Provide advice to management on issues that impact on the operation of the service area.
• Foster an equitable and fair workplace ethos through the implementation of management standards and policies, for example, performance planning and review, recruitment and selection, training and development, customer service standards, workplace health and safety and employment equity.
• Support and help maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day to day operations.
