FinXL IT Professional Services is currently seeking an Android Developer to join our Mobility team, working for our Enterprise Banking client. This team is responsible for developing and supporting mobile applications across various platforms.
- Initial 6 months contract with 12 months extensions.
- There is Possibility to go perm if interested.
- Work Location Based in Gold Coast.(Must relocate to Gold Coast)
- Hybrid working (3 days in office)
As an Android Developer, you will take a leading role in the development and maintenance of Android mobile applications, working closely with both business and IT teams to deliver innovative solutions. You will ensure the quality, scalability, and security of applications while providing domain expertise across the mobile app portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Hands-on development and coding of Android applications, ensuring robustness and scalability.
2. Lead and mentor a team of developers, guiding them in best practices for Android development.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders across business and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
4. Advocate for Agile methodologies, Lean, and Design Thinking principles to enhance development processes.
5. Contribute to the continuous improvement of applications throughout their lifecycle, from concept to production.
Technical Skills and Expertise:
6. Strong experience with Java and Android development.
7. Hands-on expertise with the Android SDK, Samsung SDK, and Android Studio.
8. Proficient in working with remote data via REST and JSON.
9. Experience with third-party libraries and APIs integration.\
10. Skilled in using GIT, Stash, and Confluence for version control and collaboration.
11. Familiarity with continuous integration tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, or TeamCity.
12. Ability to script Gradle builds.
13. Knowledge of automated testing suites, including unit tests, automated UI testing (mobile), HP Fortify, and static code analysis.
Contract Details:
14. Initial 6-month contract with a high likelihood of 12-month extensions.
15. Possibility to transition into a permanent role if interested.
16. Relocation to Gold Coast required.
