Fixed Term appointments include the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.About the role:As an Emergency Medicine Consultant at Kalgoorlie Health Campus, you will have a crucial role in delivering comprehensive clinical services and leading a multi-disciplinary team to provide top-tier emergency care.Kalgoorlie Hospital serves as the regional hub for the wider Goldfields region, with the Emergency Department (ED) managing over 25,000 annual presentations, with approximately 25% of patients identifying as Aboriginal. Your role will be instrumental in addressing health disparities and enhancing outcomes for this diverse community. As the ED operates around the clock, your rotating roster will include three possible shift times which are 08:00 to 18:00, 10:00 to 20:00, or 13:00 to 23:00. Additionally, you will participate in on-call duties from 23:00 to 08:00, ensuring comprehensive 24/7 emergency coverage.Within the ED at the Kalgoorlie Health Campus, you will lead, support, and educate multi-disciplinary teams consisting of Senior Medical Practitioners, Junior Medical Officers, nursing staff, administrative staff, and support staff.
