Southern Adelaide Local Health Network – Flinders Medical Centre – Cardiology Salary $74,831.00 - $102,103.00 (Pro Rata) RN/M1| Full Time – 12 month contract available We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Research Nurse Clinical Trials Coordinator to join our team The Cardiology department undertakes research across a variety of areas including acute coronary syndromes, heart failure, electrophysiology and structural heart disease. The Cardiology Clinic Trials Unit co-ordinates a variety of sponsored and investigator-led trials. As the Research Nurse Clinical Trials Coordinator this role will support ongoing and new clinical trials within the department. About the role: As the Research Nurse Clinical Trials Coordinator, duties for the role will include: Provide direct nursing care and/or individual clinical trial case management to patient/trial subjects on a day to day basis in the Cardiology department Identify potential patients and screen for eligibility and ensure all subjects recruited are eligible to be enrolled Ensure adherence to GCP principles in all aspects of the trial and maintain regulatory requirements to ensure the study is able to meet the scrutiny of an internal or external audit Monitor the follow-up care and progress of patients involved in the study and the need for protocol indicated changes to the treatment regimen Ensure all documents associated with studies are archived and stored according to GCP and that patient confidentiality is maintained About you: Demonstrated high level interpersonal written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts and develop effective and professional working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, especially senior clinicians An efficient time management skill to ensure a high quality of work is completed within the required time frame Demonstrated competence in the care and management of patients with complex health issues Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate Proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards Please see the attached Role Description for additional information.
