Senior Production Engineer
Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, you will enjoy leading a team of experienced UG hard rock mining engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Superior safety orientation and focussed leadership in safe work practices
* Optimisation of ore extraction
* Responsible for overseeing and approval of drill and blast plans required to achieve weekly targets
* Analyse mine performance and identify variances to plans and value drivers according to Time Usage Model (TUM)
* Support Technical Services team to deliver accurate, safe and cost-effective MOP and Life of Mine Plan (LOMP)
* Provide technical assistance to operational team on set up of new areas / alterations to existing areas
* Oversee and approve plans for service installations such as service holes, drain holes, refuge chamber installations and pumping system advances to ensure decline / incline advance is safe and efficient
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering
* 5+ years experience within a similar mine
* Competent user of Deswik and Ventsim
* Able to work autonomously and cohesively within a high performing professional team environment
The Mine
Located in western Tasmania, this hard rock mine site is supported by a comfortable and well-equipped mining camp with a high standard of meals on offer.
Nature and Roster
For those keen to secure a long-term role on an 8:6 Wednesday to Wednesday roster, the site offers the following arrangements:
* DIDO from anywhere in Tasmania such as Burnie, Launceston or Hobart
* Relocate to anywhere in Tasmania with assistance (flights, storage, shipment of 1x car)
