Our unique capabilities, business agility and innovative delivery solutions have created a high demand for Civil Group construction and drilling services with our clients.With multiple construction projects nationally, we are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join our successful delivery team.The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting the project health, safety, and environmental standards, and for driving continual improvement in these areas. This is a hands-on position, suited to a good communicator who has the capability to manage the practical implementation of project HSE requirements.What you will doManage and administer HSE management systems, including preparation of a calendar of project HSE requirements.Conduct project inductions and facilitate HSE prequalification requirements for all personnel, process, and plant.Maintain HSE site documentation and filing systems.Advocate for compliance and lead by example.Conduct regular reviews, inspections, and audits.Conduct Toolbox Meetings.Notify, investigate, and report incidents in a timely manner, including implementation of corrective actions.Promote risk management, and the identification of opportunities for improvement.Point of contact for site grievances and injury management.Assist with specific tasks as requested by the Project manager, or the off-site project support team.About youMinimum 3 years’ experience as a HSE Advisor (or similar role) in the Civil Construction industry.Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (or similar).Sound knowledge and understanding of the WHS Act and Regulations, and Workcover and injury management processes.Current First Aid Certificate and CPR essential.Valid class C licence essential.Construction industry card essential.Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.Excellent administration and computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office.Alignment with our values Client, Leadership, Excellence, Accountability & Results.The right to work in Australia.The ability to travel for work (FIFO roster).Successful candidates are required to undergo a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening. In addition, candidates are required to complete pre-employment online inductions. Employment is subject to satisfactory completion.A condition of employment is the ability to undertake a daily drug and alcohol test on site and produce a negative result.Civil Group will arrange travel from your nearest capital city (point of hire).
