That’s where you fit in.Role Overview / Objective:As a Test Automation Engineer at Finsure, you will report directly to the QA Manager. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks that are essential for ensuring software quality and reliability.As part of an exciting new project, you will build a test automation framework using PlayWright. A crucial aspect of this is fostering close collaboration with developers, test analysts, business analysts, and DevOps.Additionally, you will support team members to enhance their automation skills, improving the overall testing process.The ideal candidate will have a background working within agile delivery models and have extensive experience across various testing methodologies. This role requires expertise in automating back-end APIs, front-end applications and end-to-end testing.Expertise using Playwright for front-end testing is essential. Additionally, experience with Cucumber for behaviour driven style tests and SuperTest for testing APIs, will be highly regarded.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated testing frameworks for UI, API, and end-to-end testing. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).Implement and optimise test automation scripts using PlayWright and SuperTest.Collaborate with developers, business analysts and test analysts to maximise test coverage and identify potential issues early in the development lifecycle.Monitor and analyze test execution results, investigate defects, and collaborate with teams to efficiently resolve issues.Facilitate knowledge transfer to the QA team regarding automation and the use of Playwright.Experience, Skills and Qualifications:Minimum 3 years of automated testing experience.Strong understanding of QA principles and testing methodologies.Experience working within agile SDLC frameworks (Scrum/Kanban).Demonstrated experience with test automation frameworks (Playwright).Understanding of CI/CD integration for test automation within DevOps workflows.Experience with performance testing using tools such as JMeter or K6.Personal Qualities and Attributes:Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyse complex business requirements and software behaviour to design testable components.Growth Mindset: Willing to learn new technologies and frameworks for testing and proactively identify areas of improvement in the testing process.Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for interpreting requirements and designing test artifacts.Collaboration & Teamwork: Collaborate with diverse teams and act as a thought leader in automated testing, providing knowledge transfer to the QA team.
