About The Role
Ventia, in partnership with the Australian Defence Force, seeks a Sous Chef to work at various locations in Woomera, South Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage kitchen and back of house operations to deliver high-quality food and customer service to Defence personnel and their families.
* Assist in coordinating special meal requests, mobilizing staff, equipment, and facilities according to Defence plans.
* Train food production personnel on Ventia's procedures and methods for food preparation and presentation.
* Operate large-volume cooking equipment, manage stock, and implement Ventia's Food Safety Program.
About You
We are looking for an individual with:
* Australian recognized Commercial Cooking qualification - Cert III or higher.
* HACCP Level 3 certification.
* Demonstrated experience operating within a large commercial kitchen.
* Exceptional customer service skills.
* Ability to work flexibly and adaptively in complex environments.
