Role Overview:As a Fleet Systems and Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing fleet data, supporting operational decisions, and managing fleet management systems. You’ll work closely with our fleet management and logistics teams to provide actionable insights, improve fleet performance, and optimize resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Collect, analyse, and interpret data from various fleet management systems (telematics, fuel tracking, maintenance records, GPS, etc.).
Generate regular and ad hoc reports for senior management on key performance indicators (KPIs), fleet utilisation, fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and compliance.
Identify patterns and trends in fleet data to inform decision-making, reduce operational costs, and improve fleet efficiency.
Fleet Management Systems Administration:
Manage, configure, and maintain fleet management software, telematics systems, and other related technologies.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the fleet management systems, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Collaborate with IT teams and software vendors to troubleshoot system issues and ensure the seamless operation of all fleet-related systems.
Process Improvement:
Analyse fleet workflows and recommend process improvements to streamline operations and increase efficiency.
Develop and implement data-driven strategies to optimise sourcing scheduling, fuel management, and maintenance scheduling.
Work closely with fleet managers and technicians to develop initiatives that enhance fleet safety, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
Compliance & Documentation:
Monitor and ensure fleet compliance with legal regulations, including emissions standards, safety protocols, and vehicle inspections.
Maintain accurate records of fleet data, reports, and audits.
Support the development and maintenance of fleet policies and procedures based on data insights and industry best practices.
Collaboration & Communication:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (fleet and transport managers, operations, finance, sustainability and procurement teams) to provide insights on vehicle performance, costs, and asset utilisation.
Present data findings and actionable insights to leadership and other non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Work cross-functionally with other departments to drive data-driven initiatives and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within fleet management, logistics, or transportation.
Proficiency with fleet management software and platforms (e.g. fleet asset management software, telematics, fuel data, MID, incident databases, licence checking) and advanced Excel skills.
Strong knowledge of database querying and data visualization tools.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with vehicle maintenance, regulatory compliance, and fuel management practices is a plus.
