THE OPPORTUNITY
The Department of Furniture and Joinery Manufacturing provides a progressive, innovative and supportive teaching environment with strong industry links. The department is currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to effectively design and teach theoretical and practical sessions, to students in Shopfitting, Joinery, and Cabinet Maker.
The person will engage in every aspect of the learning journey, starting from course inquiries and guidance, evaluating and identifying the educational needs of students. Offering assistance and direction to students, engaging with the industry, and actively contributing to ongoing improvement processes.

ABOUT YOU
4. Current industry knowledge directly relevant to the training and assessment being delivered, with a particular emphasis on current technology and industry practice.
5. Experience in computer-aided production drawings (CAD) and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machining and processing centres skills preferred but not essential.
6. Experience as a teacher of vocational and/or higher education and training programs.
7. Ability to effectively convey knowledge, skills and experience to a diverse student population through the selection and use of a wide range of teaching and assessment strategies.
8. An approved degree or diploma in a relevant vocational area, or approved equivalent qualifications, at least to the level being delivered and assessed; and
9. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40116); or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40110) including the units TAELLN411 & TAEASS502.
