QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government. It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities. About the role This position is responsible for providing a procurement service for operational staff, as well as providing services and support that promotes procurement 'best practice' and contract performance across the region. Your focus will be on ensuring the services provided meet quality and value for money expectations of clients within required time frames. Duties and skills involved: Providing efficient and high standards of customer service to QBuild customers, to be a point of contact for feedback and queries related to procurement instructions, procedures, guidelines and standard forms. Providing purchasing, procurement, administrative and contract management support to members, customers and stakeholders across QBuild. Demonstrating flexibility to work across a variety of procurement teams with varying work and outcomes. Assisting with the development, implementation and monitoring of procurement instructions, procedures, guidelines and standard forms, including producing and amending new and existing documents as well as maintaining document control (in conjunction with Quality Assurance). Undertaking a range of procurement related projects, which may involve researching and assessing alternative strategies, processes and procedures, as well as producing reports. Ordering materials and processing a range of purchase orders, work orders, field release orders and similar for goods and services required for regional delivery. Providing support with the development and delivery of procurement training/induction programs, ongoing skills frameworks, the development and production of training materials, schedule of Contractor meetings including minutes and coordination and presentation of training/induction sessions. Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of legislative and departmental requirements for procurement and actively promote awareness of procurement as a key business function to all departmental staff. Demonstrating professionalism and be a positive contributor to the team and culture. Preferred skills and experience: While not mandatory, a formal procurement, purchasing and/or contract management accreditation, including Queensland Purchasing, QGCPO, CIPS or similar will be well regarded.
