Job Title: Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3 | Correctional Health
About the Role
This key role in the Primary Mental Health team will provide primary mental health nursing services to the patient population at Port Phillip Prison.
You will be responsible for patient treatment, management, assessment, and ongoing reviews. This includes crisis assessment, development of risk management plans, and engaging the patient in the development of their mental health recovery plans including referrals to other service needs, discharge planning, and liaison with external stakeholders.

You will bring demonstrated psychiatric nursing experience to the role and hold a postgraduate qualification in Mental Health.

Requirements
* Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Nursing that meets the requirements of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Willingness to obtain G4S security clearance
* Current driver's license

SVCHECK SVCHS at Port Phillip Prison (PPP) provides primary health, mental health, and secondary medical health care to prisoners at Port Phillip Prison, Laverton.
Port Phillip Prison is a maximum security male prison accommodating approximately 1107 inmates and is situated 20 km West of Melbourne.
St. John's inpatient unit is a 40 bed subacute medical ward providing a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
