Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to manage day-to-day operations at our Castlemaine Premix Concrete plant. The Site Supervisor will ensure efficient plant operations, compliance with safety standards, and oversee a team of concrete batchers and truck drivers. This role also involves managing customer orders, stock levels, and yard presentation while operating batching systems, forklifts, and loaders as needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the safe and efficient daily operations of the Castlemaine Premix Plant including daily product moisture testing and operations of U-Batch computer system.
* Manage and supervise staff, including rostering and training.
* Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
* Maintain product quality and yard presentation.
* Operate the concrete batching system and equipment (forklift, loader).
* Handle customer orders and scheduling of deliveries.
* Perform plant maintenance and repairs as needed.
Key Selection Criteria
* Concrete industry knowledge or experience.
* Demonstrated experience in batching concrete and supervising teams in a similar role.
* Safety-conscious and strong work ethic.
* Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility.
* Exceptional customer service and multi-tasking skills.
* Experience operating a loader and forklift.
