Asset Allocation Expert/ Business Analyst Role
About the Role
We are seeking an Asset Allocation expert/business analyst to join our product team and bring industry best practices in implementing multi-asset, multi-manager portfolio workflows. This role involves understanding of complex fund-of-fund structures, analysing current systems, and designing components for future solutions.

The team you will be joining is part of Charles River Development (CRD), which became a part of State Street in 2018. CRD helps create enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in the areas of institutional investment, wealth management, and hedge funds. Together we have created the first open front-to-back platform - State Street Alpha, launched in 2019.
Key Responsibilities
* Expertise in one or more of the following market segments: Superannuation/Pension, Endowments, OCIO
* Front to back experience, from model construction, through exposure management and cash allocation through a fund to and performance and risk measurement/management
* Business & System analysis and maintenance experience including the ability to:
o Triage support issues for the product team identifying them as either bugs or systems enhancements
o Design expected solutions for the development team to implement
o Collaborate with experienced developers to elicit, understand and document system requirements and functionalities
* Ability to work closely with developers to provide business insights
* Design, documentation, and solution execution experience with the ability to address identified business problems and help execute on with product managers for launches of new products
Requirements
* Apply detailed knowledge of business requirements and workflows to assist in product development
* Research and produce business and technical requirement documents
* Work directly with customers and product management team to gather product requirements and develop feature specifications, involvement in all aspects of the software product life cycle
* Partner with development to help develop, implement, and refine features
* Plan and schedule validation tasks; provide hands-on manual tests; develop verification plans and processes
* Provide feedback on product performance
* Review documentation to ensure accurate and complete documentation
* Provide client beta testing support and train personnel on capabilities of new product releases
* Assist with the management of project schedules and deliverables
* Assist implementation and support to resolve escalated client issues
* Actively participate in the Agile software development process by adhering to the CRD Scrum Methodology including attending daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
* Participate in group testing activities as needed.

Education
BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or study of Business with an MIS background. MS/MBA degree strongly preferred
