About the Opportunity
We have a new opportunity for a Procurement & Subcontract Specialist to join our Maritime Sustainment program based at Osborne, Adelaide, reporting to the Procurement & Subcontract Manager.
As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for forging strong supplier relationships, developing sourcing and tender strategies, negotiating subcontracts, and overseeing contracts to ensure timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and quality excellence.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and/or hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to secure the best value for the business.
* Build strong relationships with suppliers and manage performance to achieve optimal results.
* Lead complex negotiations and finalise contracts to protect the organisation's interests.
* Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement initiatives to reduce expenses.
* Manage the entire procurement process, from sourcing, tendering to contract management.
About You
You should have:
* Demonstrated expertise in procurement and supply chain management, including negotiation & full procurement lifecycle.
* A talent for developing and implementing innovative sourcing strategies to maximise value.
* Talented in collaborating effectively & seamlessly with diverse teams.
* Proven ability to drive supplier performance, ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
* Understanding of commercial contracts, payment structures, and risk management.
* Eligibility to apply for Security Clearance & ITAR requirements.
