Customer Service Officer RSPCA NSW location Maitland and Hunter.
Our Hunter Shelter is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Customer Service Officer to join our dedicated Customer Care team on a full-time basis. The Customer Service Officer is responsible for providing excellent customer service, advice, and guidance to members of the public.
This position will rotate across all functions of the Customer Care team, including adoptions, surrenders, lost and found, stray intake, and reporting. The successful candidate will be required to work weekends.

About the role provide accurate and timely customer service and advice regarding animal care. Coordinate the adoption & surrender process, ensuring that all required documentation is completed accurately. Ensure that all animals received are tagged or otherwise appropriately identified.
Administration duties including daily banking and responding to customer enquires via phone or email. Cleaning of animal enclosures and administer medications when required. Coordinate and facilitate impounding services and all required documentation. Escalate urgent reports to management and inspectorate.
About you previous experience in a customer service role, minimum 1 year. Prior experience working for a non-profit organisation, desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Conflict resolution and mediation skills. Strong computer literacy.
Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments. Certificate II in Animal Studies and/or other formal training in animal behaviour (desirable). Previous experience in animal handling, desirable. An interest in animal welfare.
