These are a vital part of our business and allow us to provide our members with a wide range of hospitality and entertainment options.The opportunitySouthside Racing is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to assume the role of Duty Manager at our Cardinia Club and Club Officer venues. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role of the Duty Manager will be to work to contribute to the performance of our Clubs and ensure that all departments operate efficiently and effectively, delivering a high level of service to the Club's members and patrons to ensure all visitors have a positive experience.The Duty Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the venues including administration, facilities, staffing coverage, security and customer service. This includes ensuring employee productivity, monitoring efficiency of all processes and creating a positive work environment for employees.Responsibilities
Managing the day to day activities at the venue
Daily team communication, coaching, mentoring and staff management
Coordination of staff within the venue to ensure an exceptional experience for the Club's members and guests
Monitoring financial performance and indicators
Adherence and monitoring of administrative tasks such as stocktake, order processing, stock replenishment, cashier and till balancing and staff training requirements
Training and coaching staff to meet service standards and product knowledge requirements
Adherence to all Company values, principles and procedures including Workplace Health and Safety requirements
The Right Fit
Holds a VCGLR Gaming License, Food Safety certificate and a Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
Previous experience in and a strong knowledge of gaming, TAB, and food & beverage operations
Strong customer service skills and an ability to build rapport with people
Experience in leading and training staff, and strong staff management skills
Experience in cash handling and reconciliation
Ability to multi-task and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
Ability to take initiative and work autonomously with minimal supervision
