Event Server Job Summary
The Event Server is a key member of our team, dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and promoting our brand. This role requires a strong work ethic, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to various situations.
Responsibilities:
* Execute events efficiently and effectively while working with other team members.
* Collaborate with Event Captains and Managers to ensure seamless event execution.
* Set up and tear down events according to the BEO, requisition sheet, and Event Captain's instructions.
* Provide excellent customer service to all guests in the hotel, restaurant, and during events.
* Take orders, serve food and drinks, and clear tables as needed.
* Follow established steps of service for each type of event.
* Demonstrate knowledge of procedures, terminology, and techniques used in the banquet and catering department.
* Know ingredients of all food and beverage items served and available for functions.
* Be familiar with 21c Museum Hotels' hours, features, and services.
* Maintain a positive, proactive, and motivated attitude in any situation.
* Work effectively in teams for large events and independently for smaller meetings.
Qualifications:
* Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
* Responsible, dependable, and punctual.
* Basic math skills.
* Strong communication skills; fluent in English.
* Clean and professional appearance.
* Enthusiasm for 21c Museum Hotels' mission and values.
* Beverage knowledge, particularly spirits, beer, wine, and Bourbon.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to carry full cocktail trays comfortably.
* Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods.
* Strength to lift at least 50 pounds.
