In this role, you'll:
* Join the Community & Place Branch within the Regional and Outer Metropolitan Division on a fixed-term basis till December 2026
* Support the Coffs Harbour Bypass Project and such you'll ideally be based either in Coffs Harbour or the surrounding North Coast area so you can attend the project site in person several days per week.
* Provide communications and engagement expertise on major transport infrastructure projects within the Northern NSW region.
* Deliver a full range of internal and external strategic communication and stakeholder engagement services.
* Draw on your experience to provide advice and guidance regarding community consultation, customer information, internal communication, issues management and digital strategies.
* Work in a team that is caring, supportive and hard-working and who are passionate about high-quality community and customer engagement for your local communities.

About you
* You are a knowledgeable, experienced and passionate communications and engagement professional.
* Based in the Coffs Harbour or the surrounding North Coast area and have solid experience in communications and community engagement.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills and thrive in a supportive team environment with people who rally together to ensure communities are effectively engaged.
* You enjoy working in a hyrbid way and and thrive when provided with flexibility and autonomy to deliver results.
