The Role We are seeking a self-motivated, capable, experienced, and computer-literate Construction Supervisor for the Sunshine Coast area. The position requires project management skills for small to medium-sized insurance repairs, government maintenance, and construction projects (ranging from $5,000 to $150,000).
The successful applicant must have an eye for detail and a strong focus on service to achieve successful outcomes. The role requires the ability to manage a portfolio of projects simultaneously. Experience with the insurance repair industry or a construction trade certificate would be advantageous and highly regarded. Work from home when not on site is available.
Key Responsibilities Ability to understand and create detailed reports, scopes of work, and cost estimates through physical and/or virtual inspections. Meet with clients and trades on-site to assess damage and quote on repairs. Complete estimates within the required time frame. Manage and complete project budgets. Control and manage a portfolio of projects simultaneously. Communicate effectively and regularly with all stakeholders including customers, tenants, clients, and office staff. Maintain long-term relationships with clients and subcontractors. Ensure business is conducted to a high ethical standard. Maintain daily records on a computer-based work system including timesheets. The Applicant Must Have The ability to follow company procedures. Proven experience working as a Supervisor. Eligibility to hold a Supervisor's licence. A Queensland Driver's Licence. The ability to work additional hours and travel to other areas if required. A professional appearance and good phone manner. Competent PC skills including the Microsoft Office Suite. The ability to produce causation reports. The ability to produce building cost estimates/quotes/scope of works with a high degree of accuracy and success. A 'can do' energetic attitude and action-oriented approach. Excellent communication and organisational skills. A strong work ethic and the ability to think ahead.
