TheRole
Join our esteemed educationalinstitution as we seek a qualified classroom teacher to fill aspecialist role in teaching Music for Years 7 and 8. This is adynamic part-time opportunity, fixed term starting Term 3 until theend of the year at our Wheelers HillCampus.
The ideal candidate will showcase aprofound passion for captivating and stimulating students whileadeptly incorporating innovative learning technologies. We seek anindividual of high energy, forward-thinking mindset, andaspirational teaching practices to join our dedicated Music team,working collaboratively to achieve team goals.
KeyDuties
1. Review and assess students at the beginning of each program to provide a flexible program that caters for individual students
2. Deliver learning programs that demonstrate a research-based knowledge of how students learn and integrate Formative Assessment Techniques
3. Evaluate personal teaching and learning programs including feedback from students and assessment data to inform planning
4. Design and deliver conceptually driven, student-centered learning activities
5. Model high expectations to enable a safe and supportive classroom culture
6. Provide reports within school standards and timelines
7. Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours
Skills andExperience
8. Have experience teaching middle years students
9. Connect positively with students and show genuine care for their learning.
10. Demonstrate commitment to professional development
11. Working knowledge of the IB philosophy and approach to teaching is advantageous
12. Hold a Teaching Qualification alongside exceptional knowledge and experience in Music
13. Hold a current VIT Registration
14. Skill and experience in Music Technology with applications such as Garageband and would be an advantage
