We are seeking a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join our Melbourne team.The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer is responsible for designing automated quality assurance in the systems and customer experiences we deliver at Movember. While quality is owned by the team, the QA Engineer will lead the way towards automation of quality, and focus on the definition, execution and evolution of the Software Quality Assurance practice at Movember.The QA Automation Engineer will directly contribute to progressing the use of automation to improve test efficiency and ideal cycle time for software changes.Key goals for the role include exceeding expectations of quality (functional and non-functional) outcomes for released components while also collaborating with the delivery team to drive continuous improvements in efficiency of delivery.This role will be required to uplift people, tools, techniques & ways of working to improve quality within the product development team and across the broader Movember technology team. They will also be required to coach and assist developers and DevOps engineers in their day-to-day tasks to help their team achieve common goals.For this role, you’ll need:Minimum of 4+ years of general testing experience.Over 2+ years of experience working with automation framework tools such as Selenium, Behat, Postman, Jest, PHPUnit, Cypress, CodeSniffer, SonarQube, Dependabot, Prisma, Tenable, Lighthouse, Loader.IO, AWS Platform (e.g. Cloudwatch, WAF, Cognito etc.).Understanding of API and Web services (REST/SOAP/XML) and ability to build and maintain API integration tests.Technical knowledge including Java, Javascript, Typescript (e.g. React/Angular, NodeJS) and PHP is desirable.Familiarity with automated deployment pipelines e.g. AWS Code Pipelines.The ability to listen to, learn from and influence team members to achieve optimal outcomes.A willingness to experiment with emerging tools and techniques and awareness of how to effect change.Familiarity with modern software engineering methodologies (Design Thinking, Agile, Lean, DevOps, Continuous Delivery, UX).A genuine passion for quality development practices, continuous improvement and pride in your work.A genuine passion in the Movember’s cause and its values.Desirable:Exposure to AWS Serverless architecture.Exposure to non-relational DB’s such as mongoDB, DynamoDB &/or relational db’s like MySQL.ISTQB certification (foundation level or above).Experience working with Agile methodologies (TDD, BDD) and common Agile tools such as Atlassian Suite (Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence), Asana.Experience of writing automated performance testing.GOOD CAUSE:Working for Movember, you’ll help raise millions for men’s health (not for a CEO’s bonus).
