About the role: The Associate Lecturer in Work Integrated Learning (WIL), Education-focused Academic will work collaboratively as part of a teaching team to develop and deliver learning materials and activities to improve the student learning experience and outcomes. Experience working in Work Integrated Learning units is desirable.
As an Associate Lecturer in Work Integrated Learning (WIL), Education-focused, you will: Develop effective learning materials and activities as part of a design team or with guidance from the Unit Chair and demonstrate awareness of ongoing innovation in curriculum design.Assist in applying industry, clinical and/or research practice into student learning experiences, success, engagement and resources.Deliver effective teaching practices within unit and suggest approaches to innovate teaching practices to improve student success and engagement.Maintain appropriate discipline knowledge and constructively review and refine own teaching practice to help maintain teaching quality standards.Assist in developing effective assessment tasks and rubrics at unit level. Provide clear assessment criteria and timely feedback to learners to demonstrate learning outcomes.To be successful, you'll have: PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experienceExcellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs, including innovative curriculum designDemonstrated passion for teaching and learning.Ability to deliver effective teaching practices to improve student success and engagement.Ability to contribute to community engagement for research.Possess or undertake (post-appointment) Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning or equivalentHere's how to apply: To be eligible to apply, you must currently be a sessional academic at Deakin or have been previously engaged as a sessional academic at Deakin within the last two years of the advertising date.
