All about the role
We are working with the hospital to support their medical imaging department secure locum sonographers. The position involves managing a varied caseload, utilising advanced equipment including 5 General US rooms with GE, Philips, and Canon machines, as well as a Vascular Lab equipped with Canon technology. The caseload encompasses Obs & Gynae, Emergency, Vascular & General, and extends to specialised areas such as Children & Neonatal, with High-Risk Tertiary Obstetrics being handled by the separate MFM Ultrasound Unit.
The department performs between 60-70 examinations per day between 8am and 5pm.
All about the duties will I perform?
You will see 10-12 patients on an average per day with time booked off for stretching, breaks and catch up working on a day shift Monday to Friday. There is the possibility of on call, but this is in no way guaranteed.
The skills and experience I need for this job
* You will have a good broad scanning skill set across general ultrasound.
* Ability to use or acquire the skills to use GE, Phillips and Canon machines.
* Work within a large, busy department including ED.
* Experience using Viewpoint.
* Be available from the end of September for open ended locum durations
This is a QLD Health role, which will require credentialing inline with their protocols. Our team can step you through this.
