In this role, you will have the chance to learn and experience new machinery, new technologies, and work alongside some of the best in the industry.You will be involved in: Planning of new processes Installation of new equipment Modifications to existing systems Maintenance and general support for our production and farming operations Role Overview As our Maintenance Planner, you will be part of the AFF team, playing a vital role in a large and successful business with a major focus on the processing and farming of cotton. Qualifications The successful applicant must possess: A minimum of 12 months of experience as a Maintenance Planner A Mechanical Fitter qualification and/or equivalent work experience, along with current studies yet to be completed This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a keen interest in process manufacturing and operational modifications.Applicants will also hold a current driver's licence; knowledge of PLC/SCADA, WHS, and safety systems will be beneficial. Key Responsibilities Ensure that machinery and facilities operate smoothly, minimising disruptions and costly repairs while maximising productivity. Create preventive and corrective maintenance schedules based on equipment and machinery needs; ensure that maintenance is performed regularly to prevent breakdowns and prolong asset lifespan. Ensure availability of all necessary resources, including spare parts, tools, equipment, and labour, before maintenance work begins. Develop and manage preventive maintenance (PM) programs to reduce equipment failure likelihood, involving analysis of equipment history, manufacturer recommendations, and failure patterns to create effective PM schedules. Work closely with maintenance technicians, engineers, and external contractors to ensure proper execution of maintenance activities. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies, helping identify potential risks and hazards. You will work with some of the latest technology, including industrial control systems, Automation Systems, PLCs, and SCADA systems. Position Details This is a full-time position requiring 38 hours per week, with a salary between $80,000 - $90,000 + superannuation and bonuses depending on experience.The role includes shift work, being available to work both day and night shifts Monday to Sunday for up to 5 months of the year.
