The role We are looking for an experienced IT System Administrator to join us on a 12 month fixed-term contract. As an IT System Administrator at Wotton Kearney, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day management of our IT Infrastructure & Security systems and services. Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, you will collaborate with various IT teams and provide essential user support. This position requires a proactive approach to ensuring compliance with regulatory, scheme, and customer security and risk requirements. Responsibilities Proactively check systems and processes for compliance with regulatory, scheme, and customer security and risk requirements. Track and resolve issues and support requests through the IT Service Desk ticketing system. Manage and maintain the environment across technologies, including M365 suite, on-premises servers (VMware), networking, WAN, backups, and cloud computing. Assist in the management of network and server infrastructure in development and production environments. Administer Microsoft 365, including Office, Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, etc. Handle Active Directory, AAD, and Group Policy, including configuration management and application deployment (msi, exe, PowerShell). Work within IT Security guidelines, ensuring compliance with scheme requirements and policies. Conduct regular audits to maintain high standards. Provide 2nd/3rd level technical support and guidance to the IT Service Desk team. Requirements Good knowledge of IT networks, systems, application technologies, and IT security. Minimum three years of experience in System administration. Ideally, 5 plus years of commercial IT experience. Strong customer service orientation with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in PowerShell. Process-driven with strong organisational skills. Why WK?
