The Sydney Business
With a broad client base and high levels of demand across tunnelling, bulk earthworks, haulage and OEMs, they have the luxury of aligning with business that they choose. With a team of 11 and growing, the division largely runs field service tradespeople to a broad demand, whether it be short term or longer-term hires.
The office is based in the Seven Hills region of Sydney and supports tradespeople along with administration and parts coordinators. Standard hours will be 6am to 6pm, however you will have the autonomy to run your hours as you see fit; and as you settle in, your time will be on your watch.
The role
As a Regional Manager, you will enjoy immersing yourself in a role where you will be taking full autonomy of the region and your employees. Your excellent leadership and people management skills will put you in a great position with managing your team, hiring, supporting new and existing clients, and developing and promoting the brand. You will also take full advantage of head office support.
Your passion and drive for development will be enhanced working closely with the General Manager and Managing Director, developing growth strategies for the business.
Some of your other duties will include:
10. Running the Sydney region, ensuring operations are delivered in a safe, superior, efficient and cost-effective manner, observant of legislative requirements, in line with business goals and strategies
11. Creating and maintaining a culture to engage and motivate employees
12. Implementing systems and procedures for optimisation
13. Managing relationships with major customers and suppliers, involving regular site visits
14. Hiring, onboarding and training employees for future success
15. Monthly profit and loss statements, budgets and financial management
16. Monthly regional performance meeting to discuss people, finance and operations management
What You Offer
You will come from a senior role with a history of heavy industry experience (potentially a trades-based background, ideally Auto Electrical, although not essential) and significant experience managing and growing a highly successful business. You will have developed excellent leadership qualities including managing people, operations and finance.
