Operating Monday to Friday from our office in Perth, you will be responsible for supporting the broader organisation in a range of human resource initiatives and projects and assist with day-to-day activity involving onboarding, employee experience, recruitment, learning and development and policy implementation. Reporting into the People and Culture Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for those who are passionate about people and looking to gain experience in all HR functions. Key Duties and Responsibilities Analyzed workforce trends to develop effective staffing plans.Used data-driven insights to project staffing needs and design recruitment strategies.Managed the full recruitment process, including job ads, CV screening, interviews, and candidate selection on platforms like Seek, Indeed, and LinkedIn.Developed innovative strategies to attract top talent through social media and professional networks.Served as the main point of contact for employee HR inquiries, providing support on a wide range of issues.Worked closely with department heads to address employee concerns and improve workplace satisfaction.Informed employees about Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and how to access them.Helped develop and standardize HR systems (e.g., MyHCI ELMO) to improve efficiency and ensure consistency.Managed performance appraisals, set performance standards, and provided feedback for employee development.Coordinated and executed the annual training plan via platforms like VELG and CANVAS, ensuring effective training within budget.Regularly reviewed and updated HR policies to meet legal standards and managed salary reviews to ensure fair compensation.Led the offboarding process, including exit interviews and completing necessary documentation.Managed HR communications through platforms like Viva Engage, Teams, SharePoint, and intranet, ensuring timely updates.Maintained accurate HR records using HRIS (e.g., MyHCI ELMO) and conducted regular audits.Ensured compliance with regulatory bodies such as ASQA, ANMAC, and TEQSA. Desired Skills and ExperienceSkills and Knowledge A passion for improving workplace culture with prior experience in a human resource function being highly regarded but not essential. Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with a diverse stakeholder group. Ability and knowledge on how to handle and respond to confidential information. Good technical skills with the ability to navigate, learn and improve systems and 'ways of work.
