You'll ensure optimal comfort for our clients by assisting with activities of daily living and other care as determined by the needs and the care plans of the clients we support. Due to the nature and complexity our clients disability, candidates must have relevant experience.Key Responsibilities: Supporting clients with high complexity clinical needsClinical management: PEG management and feeding, manual handling, tracheostomy and ventilation management, suction and airway managementPersonal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance, bowel careMonitoring the well-being of clients and reporting on their progressSocial Activities: transporting clients to their appointments, shopping, any planned social activityEssential Criteria: Nursing Registration with AHPRA if applicableRight to Work in Australia (such as passport, birth certificate etc).First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain before employmentNational Disability Insurance Scheme Worker Check (NDISWC)Working with Children CheckDesirable Criteria (Training can be provided) Experience in in tracheostomy and ventilation management, suctioning and airway management and manual handling.Experience providing complex care (catheter care, wound management, acquired brain injury, dysphagia, behaviour support, bowel care).Previous community nursing experience is an advantage along with a genuine desire to support people with disabilities to live a higher quality of life will be highly regarded.Why work for Care1?
