About your opportunity:
In this position you will deliver high quality, evidence-based occupational therapy services across the continuum of care to consumers and families of the Hospital in the Home service, as part of an interprofessional, collaborative team. This role reports operationally to the Allied Health Team Leader HITH and professionally to the Occupational Therapy Director CHHHS.
About your role:
5. Deliver high level occupational therapy clinical services of a complex and varied nature to consumers of Hospital in the Home in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, with minimal direct clinical supervision.
6. Provide timely, high level clinical advice to a range of health professionals, supervisors, managers and stakeholders, both internal and external to the HHS, regarding occupational therapy management and service delivery in various clinical areas, including prioritisation and changes in clinical practice, equipment and technological advances.
7. Provide clinical practice supervision, education and mentoring to less experienced occupational therapists, assistants and other practitioners as well as actively contributing to occupational therapy student placements and clinical education programs in HITH and CHHHS.
8. Accurately and concisely record all patient interaction as well as workload measurement statistics, to facilitate the analysis of service trends and actively influence practice change.
